Our story
Born between worlds
Rimbu began with a single question: why should a woman choose between the life she moves through and the way she wants to look doing it?
“We design for the woman who trains at six, lunches at noon, and dines at nine — without changing who she is.”
Rimbu was founded on the belief that activewear had been asking too little of itself. Performance fabrics engineered for the track, cut for the runway. Silhouettes that hold their shape through a sprint and a soirée alike.
We call it soft power — the quiet confidence of a woman who is always exactly where she belongs, in exactly what she's wearing.
Philosophy
Three principles
01
Form follows feeling
Every silhouette begins with how it should feel against the body — fluid, held, alive. The aesthetic follows from there, never the other way around.
02
Luxury is restraint
We resist the impulse to add. A single seam placed precisely. A fabric that speaks for itself. Decoration is easy; discipline is rare.
03
Made to be worn
Rimbu pieces are not for the wardrobe. They are for the life — the early morning, the long lunch, the late evening. Worn in, not worn out.
Craftsmanship
How we make it
Each Rimbu piece passes through the hands of fewer than twelve people before it reaches yours. We work with a small network of specialist ateliers — chosen for their mastery of technical fabrics and their refusal to rush.
Fabric sourcing
We source from mills in Italy and Japan — the only two places in the world producing the compression-weight fabrics we require at the hand-feel we demand.
Pattern making
Patterns are drafted on a live fit model, adjusted through a minimum of eight fittings per style. No shortcuts. No approximations.
Finishing
Every seam is flatlock-stitched for comfort against skin. Every hem is hand-pressed. Every piece is inspected individually before it ships.
